Board Chair

Zone 1

Angie is married to husband, David and they have four children. All four of her children are graduates of Rigby High School. She is a graduate of Madison High School. Angie and her husband farm West of Roberts. She enjoys reading, quilting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Angie has served on the Board of Trustees since 2000 representing Zone 1.

Zone 2

Leanna is married to Wayne Poole and they have 4 children . Leanna lives in Menan and loves Jefferson County and her family roots here. She has worked in finance and business management since before graduating high school. Leanna is currently a Realtor and loves all things real estate related. She loves to read, camp, anything to do with the outdoors, spending time with my family and friends and learning new skills. Leanna was elected in 2019 to Represent Zone 2.

Zone 3

Matt Clayton is married to Jeni Clayton. They have 5 children who have attended or are attending Rigby schools. Matt graduated from Boise State University with a degree in Computer Information Systems and Journalism. He currently works as the Director of Analytics for a health care consulting company. Matt enjoys all things outdoors, numerous sports, and traveling with his family. He has resided in Rigby for 24 years and is thankful to live in the welcoming community of Rigby.

Zone 4

Derek was raised in Menan and graduated from Rigby High School. After college and mariage he moved back to Rigby in 2009. Derek and his wife Sarah have 6 children with 5 of them currently attending schools in the district. He is the owner of SouthCo Metals in Idaho Falls. Derek serves on the Jefferson School District 251 Board of Trustees representing Zone 4.

Zone 5

Cheryl Kimber is married to Jason.  They have lived in Rigby for 18 years and have three sons.  Cheryl graduated from BYU-Idaho with a degree in History.  She was a librarian for 5 years at South Fork Elementary School.  Cheryl loves to read, garden, and go on adventures with her family. 

Vice Chair

Zone 6

BJ is married to his wife, Maria and they have four children. BJ is a graduate of Rigby High School and Utah State University, where he received a degree in public relations and marketing. He is the owner of George & Jesse’s Les Schwab Tire in Rigby. BJ enjoys the outdoors, spending time with his family and traveling. BJ was appointed to the Board of Trustees in 2017 to represent Zone 6.
